World of Warcraft Wedding!
Last November La Clé was proud to provide entertainment for a spectacular wedding for Karl and Joyce, at the exquisite One and Only Royal Mirage hotel, Dubai.
The wedding organisers ‘La Table Events’, called on us for this special wedding, as they felt assured of our ability to fulfil a unique request after successfully providing bespoke costumes for NuraiFest at Zaya Nurai island. We were asked whether we could recreate some of the magic of Azeroth from the fantasy game “World of Warcraft”, because the groom is an avid fan.
Here at La Clé our speciality is customised creations, so we felt confident that we could tailor to the request. As we brainstormed ideas, we were sure to employ a careful balance of magic and mysticism with high-end quality. We managed this by designing and creating bespoke tailored clothing, combining fantasy elements with Grecian-like elegance.
The evening began with a grand entrance to the ethereal theme song “Nightsong”. Six female kaldorei (night elves) wore jewelled crowns and illuminous white robes. Holding golden lamps, they walked gracefully to the music from the altar to the reception at the “Carloyseum” (a play on the word “colosseum” with the couple’s names ‘Karl’ and ‘Joyce’.) A drummer dressed in a dramatic cloak played LED lit drums. Once the guests had all made their way to the reception area, a Lebanese Zaffe troupe announced the arrival of the awaited bride and groom.
When the guests sat down for dinner, the girls reappeared in glittering dresses, performing an impressive choregraphed piece to another song from the fantasy game. Later, a 7-piece band led by singers Farah Nakhoul and Jad Abi Haider, serenaded the audience with Arabic and English songs, as the guests danced the night away, taking with them all an evening to remember.
This show-stopping wedding was featured in both “Lebanese weddings” and “Arabia weddings” magazine.
